Graphic designer, Dan (Ohh) Neal in the Kansas City area. Lover of humor and hater of things that go bump in the night.
So this happened.
Tonight I attended the opening of the Game of Thrones exhibit in NYC simply planning to take pictures of awesome costumes and props. There was fun themed food and drink to be had and it was set to be a great night.
I had missed sitting on the Iron Throne twice already and was disappointed to find out the one at the exhibit was up a few stairs. And then I met Maisie Williams (Arya) and Sophie Turner (Sansa). We were having a casual conversation when I mentioned the stairs and they made it their mission to get me on the Iron Throne. With a little help from HBO and a wonderful security guard, I was carried up the steps and placed gently on the famous seat. The girls grabbed Natalie Dormer (Margaery) and John Bradley (Sam), who were also in attendance, to join us for this completely EPIC photo.
It was completely unexpected and the girls went out of their way to make one of my dreams come true. I could not thank them enough and everyone was so nice! I felt like a true Khaleesi.
I’m basically soaring on a dragon right now.
(Find out more about the exhibit, which is free and open to the public, on the Game of Thrones Twitter.)
In case it’s not apparent, Jill uses a wheelchair. Jill is wonderful and this is wonderful.
Heisenberg Crest on Flickr.
I’ve been making crests for A Song of Ice and Fire a.k.a. A Game of Thrones, thought this one would be fun (Obviously not a true House) House Heisenberg from Breaking Bad. Man wearing yellow biohazard suit with gas mask on a crystal blue field. House motto, “I am the one who knocks”.
